International Relations

Georgia is home to a vibrant, active diplomatic and consular community, the world’s most traveled airport, the fastest-growing container seaport in the nation and 17 Fortune 500 company headquarters. With these assets, the state welcomes an ever-increasing number of government delegations, official and business travelers, tourists and new residents from around the world.

The International Relations division of the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) strategically cultivates and expands Georgia’s international relationships. The team oversees communications and activities with foreign governments, coordinates international missions, welcomes visiting delegations and is the state’s liaison to members of the Consular Corps.
